Association Living: Things to Consider
Pets: While pets are welcome on most properties, knowing of any association restrictions can influence where you buy. Properties can limit animals based on type, weight/size, breed, as well as the amount of pets you can have.
Parking: When living within an association, parking arrangements and your vehicle situation should be considered. Some have garages and underground parking where others are street parking. Be aware of availability and restrictions before you buy.
Dues: Association dues cover expenses for managing the property and often include lawn maintenance and snow removal, maintenance of common amenities like swimming pools, exercise equipment or playground equipment, and other property bills.
Responsibility: Not all of your property responsibilities are covered by association dues. We will help you understand your property’s documents and inform you which responsibilities are yours.
